You are invited into the artist’s studio of Emily Donovan to watch her hand-mix dyes made from foraged materials and use them to paint with her dye resist/dye technique. Donovan is an artist based in Saint Paul, MN who creates abstract paintings that suggest aspects of nature and environment, art history and the human figure. Her wallpapers are available through Area Environments, the creative studio that curates original work from contemporary artists to produce exclusive wallpapers and large-scale murals.
