John Pomp Debuts at the Thomas Lavin Showroom in the Laguna Design Center

John Pomp is pleased to announce their representation by Thomas Lavin at the Laguna Design Center. The new partnership marks the company’s first and highly anticipated foray into the Orange County area.

The collection will officially debut during the Laguna Design Center’s Fall Market day on October 5, 2016. Thomas Lavin will carry the entire John Pomp collection of furniture and lighting, all designed by Philadelphia based designer and master glassblower John Pomp. The offerings will include the unveiling of the newest addition to the John Pomp collection: the Bonham Lounge Chair. Meticulously hand crafted, the Bonham Lounge Chair is constructed of an oil rubbed blackened steel frame with brass embellishments, leather tufted cushion and a detachable brass-weighted headrest pillow. Drawing from several historical influences, this chair is a nod to the past with a vision to the future. The Bonham Lounge Chair honors the considered details of hand craftsmanship with the beauty of natural materials, yielding another exclusive and timeless piece to add to Pomp’s growing collection.

The launch of John Pomp at Thomas Lavin will also mark the debut of the brand’s first vignette format for showrooms across the country, whereby all of the John Pomp furniture and lighting designs will occupy one premier space within the showroom. A key feature will be the inclusion of the Artist’s rare and limited edition art pieces. The objet d’art will draw inspiration from a design element of the John Pomp collection and will incorporate subtle artistic details specific to the geographic location of the showroom. This piece for the Thomas Lavin showroom will include sand from San Onofre, one of John’s favorite surf spots in the Laguna area.

“I have long admired the high standards of excellence and outstanding reputation Thomas Lavin has built within our industry. He has created a beautifully articulated aesthetic within his showrooms that I am honored to be a part of.”
-John Pomp

“I have been a huge fan of John Pomp for many years. It has been my desire to represent him – he is an artist non-pareil, a savvy businessman, and a visionary. No one is making the kind of work that John is. We are thrilled to bring him to the Orange, San Diego and Desert communities in Southern California.” -Thomas Lavin
