Tim Burton Exhibit @ LACMA

Critically adored – and panned – Tim Burton’s exhibition at LACMA is a retrospective featuring 700+ drawings, paintings, photographs, storyboards, costumes, puppets and movie props from his days working as an animator at Disney to more modern fare. Running through October 31st, the display gives a glimpse into the artist’s mind – from the isolation he felt as a youth growing up in Burbank, his appreciation of gothic artistry and his fascination with Edward Gorey. Though you may have to navigate through large crowds, fans of his work will delight in seeing the pieces up-close and in person at LACMA.
